Forty years ago, The Crown Shop opened its doors…in Arkadelphia.
That’s right. Though now an iconic Little Rock business, The Crown Shop first opened in 1971 in Clark County, moving to “the big city” the following year.
So, you thought we were the city’s Hallmark franchise or something? Well, let’s dispel some preconceived notions.
The Crown Shop is Little Rock’s best example of one-stop gift shopping. From cute items perfect for a Mother’s day gift from a child to the “serious” gifts, perfect as an anniversary present from husband to wife, we’ve got it covered.Speaking of men buying for the ladies… We’re the go-to place for gift-hunting men in that “deer caught in headlights” mode who don’t know where to begin when it comes to selecting a gift.
We sell our customer service as much as anything, and many a Little Rock husband/father/son have allowed us to help them find the perfect gift.
We have two locations, both in Little Rock. We’re in the Village at Pleasant Valley at Rodney Parham and I-430 (now 11,000 SF of space), and we’re in Park Plaza Mall (5,000 SF). Both locations are us, owned and operated by the same family. And yes, we used to be in Breckenridge Village. We were there for about 10 years after coming up from Arkadelphia before crossing Rodney Parham. In fact, our remodeled Rodney Parham store is much more open and less crowded, and as noted, much bigger at 11,000 SF.
We offer imprinting services and home decor items as well. We like to think we’re always changing, forever growing.
We’re your not-so-obvious Razorback Central. OK, we know. If you want to get decked out in Hog gear for the big game, you have other options. But in terms of really nice Razorback gifts and tailgating gear, we think you’ll be surprised at what you can find at The Crown Shop.
